Another Nakba in the Making??

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Under cover of announcing humanitarian relief for injured Palestinians, it is now emerging that Israel is planning the transfer of tens of thousands of Palestinians from Gaza into Egypt.

Evidence of the Israeli transfer plan has been sent to London based Islington Friends of Yibna** [IFY]. Earlier today, Sat 17 Jan 09, IFY received a photo of tents [see attached] outside the main hospital in Egyptian Rafah, near the border with Gaza.

The white tents with no markings are being erected by the Egyptian Army, starting last night, Fri 16 Jan 09. The photo was taken this morning [Sat 17 January 09]. The soldiers stated that 5,000 tents were planned for refugees from Gaza.

Further information is available from our contacts in the Egyptian side of Rafah [Rafah was divided by Israel after it occupied Gaza and Sinai in 1967; Israel divided Rafah when Sinai was returned to Egypt].

From our contacts in Yibna Refugee Camp in Gaza we have learnt that, in the north east of Rafah, near the Egyptian border, Israeli tanks have surrounded and sealed off the Al Sarayh neighbourhood, for more than the last 48 hours. There are many injured people trapped there, the Israelis are not allowing access for the Red Cross and many people are dying of their wounds, isolated and with no medical treatment.

We have grave concerns that Israel will target the Al Sarayh neighbourhood to be the first to be transferred and that this might be within the next 24h.

Gravatar Power of the people!!!! Or ethnec clencing at work????
"Some 350,000 Palestinians poured out of Gaza and into Egypt early Wednesday, the United Nations said,"

In 1948, 750000 Palestinian poured out of Palestine to Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Gaza, my parents were among palestinians who poured out of Gallil into Lebanon, and still living in Lebanon's concentration camps.

Therfore, I am reluctant to rejoice.

Can I rejoice Palestinians pouring out of Palestine, not into Palestine.. ?

The broken wall is with egypt, not the walls with Palestine. That wall should should have never existed, especially after liberation of Gaza.

I hope Hamas is aware of the risks of breaking the wall and may work out a new border arrangement with Egypt.

I am not here to give lessons or tell Hamas and the palestinians what to do or not to do, as some assholes do. THE PEOPLE OF MECCA ARE MORE AWARE OF ITS MOUNTAINS ( ITS SANDS IN GAZA)

Gravatar Don't be worried, U.P., they only went shopping and are back home. Also back home decenes of Palestinians that have been stranded in Egypt for months.

Only a few went abroad, those who despite having their papers cleared were not allowed to depart to continue with their studies or with their jobs in the Gulf states.

The dangers -in my humble opinion- are not here this time, but on the dirty tricks by the mother of all dirty tricks, the Zios. For instance (I've just heard it on the radio here some minutes ago, by a Spanish journalist residing in Gaza, Monica Leiva), as soon as the wall was yanked down, the israelis blocked the entrance of the fuel -that minimum amount they said they would give for the generator- and Gaza is again in the darkness.

And this is to start with. The zios are masters of cruelty and callousness, but the Palestinians know it in their own flesh, they know volumes about the zios deeds.

By the way, she also said that many egyptians are coming into Gaza, and asking for the prices of things. Many are visiting Gaza to know the situation first hand.

Gravatar I always beleived in the power of people, especially palestinians fighting the whole world..

In 1948, some 150000 palestians stayed in Palestine, they are 20% of "Israel" population, a pain in the "Jewish state" back..

It is the uproated palestinians who launched the Armed resistance, and their dream of return shall come true.
