OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The prominent Muslim leader in the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands Sheikh Raed Salah has warned Sunday that the Zionist conference that was held in the occupied city of Jerusalem had asserted Israel's intentions to build the alleged Temple on the ruins of the Aqsa Mosque.

In press statements he made in reaction to the said conference, Salah described the meeting as a "failed attempt" from the Jewish organizers to lift morale of the Zionist institution that dropped to low levels after the defeat in Gaza battle.

However, Salah cautioned that the conference bears bad omens to Jerusalem and Muslim and Christian holy shrines in it, warning of possible "foolish" acts the Israeli occupation government might possibly take against the Aqsa Mosque.

He also pointed out that the Israeli excavations under the Aqsa Mosque reached alarming levels, quoting testimonies of Palestinian residents dwelling near the Mosque that they noticed suspicious Israeli activities and sounds of excavations under parts of the Aqsa Mosque.

Moreover, the Muslim leader opined that the purpose behind the bloody Israeli aggression on Gaza was also targeting the Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem based on the fact that the Palestinian resistance was the only stumbling block before the Israeli schemes against the city.

In this regard, Salah called on Arab and Muslim nations not to give chance to the Israeli plots to succeed, and added that they should always be ready to foil any Israeli measure in this direction.

PSL warns Arabs, Muslims of dangerous Israeli excavations under the Aqsa Mosque

GAZA, (PIC)-- Palestine Scholars League has warned Sunday the Arab and Muslim countries that they should seriously mobilize to protect the Aqsa Mosque, explaining that the Israeli excavations under the Mosque reached alarming levels.

In a statement it issued, and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC, the PSL asserted that the Israeli excavations were close to the foundations of the Aqsa Mosque, adding that that the floor of a classroom in an UNRWA-run school in Silwan suburb in occupied Jerusalem had collapsed because of those excavations. The classroom is tens of meters away from the Mosque, the UNRWA said.

"Those Israeli diggings indicate that the Israeli malicious schemes against the Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem have reached serious levels that should prompt Arabs and Muslims to act immediately to protect the holy Muslim shrine", the PSL underlined.

Since the illegal birth of Israel in 1948 on usurped Palestinian lands, the successive Israeli governments strived hard to judaize Jerusalem and to distort its Arab, Muslim and Christian features.

Sheikh Raed Salah

If the muslims and Christians were really interested by the AL Aqsa they would have moved a long long time ago , they are simply not interested even if in certain circles and press conferences they pretend they do . Only Palestinians care about AL Aqsa ( i wonder whether the PA cares?) and im afraid there is no one else .
