Abu Marzouk: There are no new proposals on the national dialog

CAIRO, (PIC)-- Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk, the deputy chairman of Hamas political bureau, on Saturday denied the presence of any new proposals on the inter-Palestinian dialog, pointing out that the differences are on core issues related to the government, the electoral system, security, and the PLO.

In a press statement to the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper, Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk stressed his Movement's insistence on protecting its parliamentary majority through finding a formula ensuring that the Palestinian lawmakers inside Israeli jails do not lose their representation in the PLC.

Commenting on alleged news about Hamas's reluctance to finish the other files until the government issue is resolved, the Hamas leader said that the opposite is true, where the formation of the government was postponed until all issues are addressed, adding that all files are a package deal and cannot be separated from each other.

He said that the elections cannot be held without agreeing on the electoral law and system or achieving a security consensus because such issues are dependent on each other.

In another context, a report issued by the Hamas Movement said that the IOF troops and the Fatah-affiliated security apparatuses kidnapped 250 Palestinian citizens during last March in the framework of the PA-Israeli security coordination against the Palestinian resistance.

The monthly report added that the IOF troops carried out in that month 158 incursions, two of them in Gaza, during which they killed four Palestinians.

The report also revealed that 23 patients in the besieged Gaza Strip died after they were denied access to any appropriate medical treatment inside or outside Gaza as a result of the Israeli siege, which raised their number to 314 victims since Israel imposed its blockade.
