RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Hatem Abdelqader, the Palestinian Authority’s resigned minister of Jerusalem affairs, launched a scathing attack on the PA headed by Mahmoud Abbas, saying it failed to achieve the national objectives and became a burden on the Palestinian cause.

In a lecture delivered in Yaffa Nazareth, Abdelqader stated that it is time to tell the truth and admit the failure of the PA to achieve the national goals.

“When we declare officially that we reached a deadlock, the Intifada becomes the option, but this (option) needs leadership that believes in the people’s ability to resist the occupation, and I do not rule out the outbreak of a third Intifada soon in light of the political inaction,” the PA official underlined.

He also condemned the PA for not having a unified political vision, describing it as someone who suffers from brain disorder.

The official noted that he resigned because he did not tolerate to be a false witness to what happens to the holy city and its people.

The official added that the PA gives Jerusalem nothing but crumbs of the financial assistance and the Jerusalem committee under the chairmanship of Morocco does nothing at all, affirming that the steadfastness of Jerusalemite citizens is attributed to themselves and their refusal to leave their lands.

In another context, Palestinian lawmaker Dr. Atef Odwan strongly denounced the PA for demanding the Palestinian refugees in Brazil to pay $27 each if they wanted to attend Abbas’s meeting with them during his visit to that country.

Dr. Odwan said that such attitude proved that Abbas is not worthy of being a president or even a Palestinian politician, describing his visit as shameful and sad.
