Dayan threatens to sink Erdogan's ship if he comes to Gaza

NAZARETH, (PIC)-- Former deputy chief of staff Uzi Dayan said that the intention of Turkish premier Recep Erdogan to participate in the new Freedom Flotilla convoy is a declaration of war on Israel, and threatened to attack the ship which the premier will be on board.

According to the website of the Israeli ministry of war on Monday, Dayan added that Erdogan overstepped the redlines when he declared his intention to participate in the convoy to Gaza and would be responsible for the consequences.

“We need to draw a clear line and say that any ship crossing it will not be boarded but sunk," he stressed.

In a related incident, Turkey's Cihan news agency said Monday that the Turkish side is considering canceling all agreements signed with Israel in the wake of its deadly attack on the Freedom Flotilla aid convoy.

Deputy head of the ruling justice and development party in Turkey Omer Celik confirmed this information in a televised interview saying that his country will revoke all agreements, including the military ones, with Israel.

Israel, in this regard, expressed serious concern, after the deterioration of its relations with Ankara, about losing its Turkey-based intelligence station, which is considered a linchpin in monitoring Iran.

For its part, the Turkish IHH relief foundation categorically denied the accusations leveled against it by Israel that it is linked to Al-Qaeda organization in Afghanistan or the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine and described them as cheap lies and fabrications.

Hussein Urooj, an IHH official, told a news conference on Monday that IHH activists on board the Mavi Marmara ship gave injured Israeli soldiers first aid while their comrades were shooting at them.

He stated that IHH is a legal international charity working in the framework of laws and has received several awards inside and outside Turkey for its humanitarian efforts.
