RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- The popular front for the liberation of Palestine (PFLP) called on Mahmoud Abbas to stop what it called the "shameful" meetings and security cooperation taking place between his security men and Israeli war criminals.

PFLP senior official Jamil Al-Majdalawi said in a press release on Saturday that the meetings and cooperation between Abbas's security men and Israeli officers only serve the Israeli occupation's interests and cover for its crimes against the Palestinian people.

The military Hebrew radio reported in this regard that high-level Israeli military officials attended drills performed by Abbas's security men in the West Bank in the context of the cooperation between the Palestinian authority (PA) and Israel.

The radio noted that senior Israeli officers Yoav Mordechai and Avi Mizrahi attended the drills and watched Abbas's private guards demonstrating the skills they often use against the Palestinian resistance.

It quoted Mordechai as saying that the relations between the Israeli army and Abbas's security apparatuses are very professional and successful in creating security stability that protect all parties.

Mordechai also hailed Abbas's security militias for helping Israeli settlers who lost their way and entered mistakenly the Palestinian territories to return to their families.

In a separate incident, the Islamic liberation party (Hizb Al-Tahrir) said that Abbas's militias prevented it from holding a conference in Ramallah and arrested more than 1, 000 of its cadres and supporters.

The Palestinian faction affirmed that the militias stormed the school where the conference were taking place and embarked on detaining the attendees, adding that the militias in cooperation with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) barred dozens of Palestinians at the entrances to Ramallah from entering the city to attend the conference.

Abbas's militias also reportedly kidnapped eight Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas on Sunday in the cities of Al-Khalil and Nablus.
