NAZARETH, (PIC)-- Mahmoud Abbas’s militia in the occupied West Bank and Israeli security forces are boosting preparations in anticipation of military operations by Hamas and other Palestinian resistance factions against Israeli objectives inside occupied Palestinian territories, Israeli intelligence sources revealed.
“DEBKA file's intelligence and counter-terror sources report Hamas is setting its sights on torpedoing the direct Israel-Palestinian negotiations,” the Israeli intelligence Tek Debka website reported.
Hamas has established a mind to destroy the chance for talks, even if it leads to escalation in Gaza or “militant” groups infiltrating into Israel through Sinai borders, the website said, adding that a speech by Hamas politburo chairman Khalid Meshaal Tuesday carried a clear indication of Hamas plans to disrupt the success of negotiations.
The Israeli intelligence site alleged that Hamas will carry out a series of operations in Israeli cities and PA security sites targeting military forces trained by British and American experts.
