PA's security threatens to cut off tongues of mosque imams in W. Bank

RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- A number of mosque imams and preachers said that the Palestinian Authority's security apparatuses in the West Bank threatened to cut off their tongues if they kept defying minister of religious affairs Mahmoud Al-Habash and refusing to deliver the Friday khutbas (sermons) prepared by him.

They added that these security apparatuses also threatened to cut off their livelihoods in order to force them to deliver Habash's speeches on Fridays.

In a separate incident, 22 Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas Movement, most of them were ex-detainees in Israeli or West Bank jails, were kidnapped lately by the PA's security militias in the cities of Ramallah, Tulkarem, Al-Khalil, Qalqiliya, Jenin and Salfit.

Other citizens recently released from West Bank jails said that the PA's interrogators stepped up their acts of torture against Hamas prisoners, affirming that many of them pass out as a result of long hours of constant beating and sleep deprivation.
