Abu Marzouk also described the PA's denial of its willingness to recognize the Jewish state despite Abed Rabbo's remarks as a trial balloon to test different reactions.
For their part, the Palestinian opposition resistance factions in Gaza described Abed Rabbo's remarks as a painful stab at the national constants, warning that such position will leave negative impacts on the Palestinian political situation in general.
"Abed Rabbo is notorious for his antinational attitude and all his political positions are only made to promote Israel's accounts and serve its interests," they added.
This came in a joint statement issued following a meeting attended by 13 Palestinian factions including Fatah and Hamas. The statement also called for ending the peace talks with the Israeli occupation state.
In the same context, secretary-general of the Islamic action front in Jordan Hamzah Mansour said that the statements made by some PA officials about recognizing the Jewish state are serious concessions on the right of return and a threat to Jordan's interests.
Mansour called on his government to take a strong position against the PA which he described as untrustworthy to protect the Palestinian rights and constants.
