Pastor Fauntroy: ‘European soldiers massacred Libyan civilian’

Posted on |

Former US Congressman, Rev. Walter Edward Fauntroy 78 (D 1971-90)),was a close friend of late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968). Fauntroy is Pastor at the New Bethel Baptist Church and member of Sothern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) lead by Re. King.

Fauntroy was among the 35 foreigners, mostly journalists, trapped in the Rexos Hotel in Tripoli when the capital city was over-run by NATO-supported rebels in August. Fauntroy went to Libya on a fact finding mission of the so-called West’s ‘humanitarian war’. Later some sources claimed Fauntroy was killed by pro-Qaddafi soldiers.

Surprisingly, Faundroy reappeared in his hometown Northwest DC on August 31 – saved by his Lord Christ from the White Christian soldiers killing Libyan Muslim men, women and children. In an interview Faundroy gave to AFRO last week, he claimed that he watched in horor French and Danish troops storm small villages late at night beheading, maiming and killing rebels and Qaddafi loyalists for western propaganda photo-up of rebel victories.

According to Faundroy, rebels were told by European soldiers to stay inside. After the European soldiers finish the mass-murder routine, they would tell the rebels, “Look at what you did”. In other words, the French and Danish were doing the bombings and killings, and giving credit to the rebels.

“What the hell, I’m thinking to myself. I’m getting out of here. So I went in hiding,” says Faundroy.
“Contrary to what is being reported in the press, from what I heard and observed, more than 90 percent of the Libyan people love Qaddafi,” Fauntroy said. “We believe the true mission of the attacks on Qaddafi is to prevent all efforts by African leaders to stop the recolonization of Africa.”

Lizzie Phelan, a British journalist was with Faundroy in the Rexos Hotel. She too was saved by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) from the Europe’s professional thugs. She tells story of her escaped from Tripoli.
“This bloodbath does not fit into the narrative of a “free Libya” in which civilians are “protected”, but in such an atmosphere charged with the hunger for control at any cost, it is near impossible for those on the ground to be honest about the images before their eyes, while they remain in rebel held territory.
One young armed rebel donning the French flag on his fatigues creeped up behind me and asked me where I was from. “London” I replied, “Ah Cameron, we love Cameron,” he beamed. I forced a smile; to even criticize my own prime minister would betray disloyalty to Libya’s new rulers.

As the sounds of tanks and firefights and the smell of death that filled the air grew more and more distant, I remembered the peaceful, welcoming and safe city I had driven into”.

The latest reports coming out of the pro-Qaddafi beseiged city of Bani Walid have confirmed that NATO is using Mastard Gas to bring city defenders to western submission.
