This demonstration took place today (April 21, 2013) in Paris, France, next to Radio France in support of Syria in the face of global media propaganda about the reality of the conflict.
Syrians are facing attacks in their own homeland from international and domestic terrorists, but the global media has been portraying the crisis as a purely popular uprising met with governmental crackdown. Despite the economic sanctions and false propaganda, Syrians persist in resisting, and the Syrian community in France did its share to tell the world that it does not accept the lies and terror waged against Syria. Dialogue among Syrians is the only way forward.

MOSCOW, (SANA) – The Syrian Embassy in Moscow, in cooperation with the Syrian community and National Union of Syrian Students branch in Russia, organized on Sunday an oratorical event on occasion of the 67th anniversary of Evacuation Day, the Syrian national day.

The event took place in the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and was attended by Syrian Minister of Information Omran al-Zoubi who is on an official visit to Moscow.

In a speech, Minister al-Zoubi said that Evacuation Day anniversary this year comes at a time when Syria is witnessing bloodshed and destruction at the hands of mercenaries and terrorists, pointing out that the conspiracy against Syria doesn’t target a specific party or President Bashar al-Assad; rather it targets the entire country and its existence.

He pointed out to the massive scale of external conspiring against Syria and the attempts to spread extremist culture, asserting that Syria will emerge victorious with the strength of its people and Army and stressing the need for solidarity in defeating foreign mercenaries, terrorists, emirs and western sides who conspire against Syria.

Al-Zoubi said that the morale of the Syrian people and Armed Forces isn’t up for trading, pointing out to the dimensions of the vicious media war waged against Syria.

In turn, Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad said that Syria has always been targeted due to its refusal to submit to Israeli and US plots in the region and due to its adherence to sovereign decision-making.

Haddad said that the US “maestro” is still intent on taking revenge from Syria via a proxy way using Arab, regional and international countries and terrorist group.

He also lauded Russia and China for their efforts to prevent conspirators from achieving their goals, deriding the western allegations of combating terrorism while the west supports terrorists in Syria in a clear display of double standards.
For their part, members of the Syrian community and students affirmed their support for Syria and their confidence in its victory over terrorists.
