Hezbollah Targets ISIL Gathering Point in Arsal Barrens

Lebanon: Hezbollah rockets pound ISIL strongholds in Arsal barrensHezbollah launched on Friday morning a major attack on terrorists of the so-called 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (ISIL) takfiri group on the outskirts of Arsal barrens, east of Lebanon, targeting one of its main gathering points.

The operation took place in Khirbet Hamam region where ISIL operatives were plotting to launch an attack on Baalbek barrens.

The Islamic Resistance claimed the lives of ISIL leader, Abu Aisha Al-Libi, as well as 6 other terrorists, including Abu Ekrema Al-Zohouri and Ahmad Abdul-Mohsen.


Hezbollah also destroyed two ISIL military vehicles, leaving their crew killed and wounded.
Friday's attack is one of the several major attacks of the "Arsal military campaign" declared by Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrullah to wipe ISIL terrorists operating in east Lebanon off the region

Two "ISIL" commanders and 7 other militants were killed during two separate Resistance operations on the outskirts of a northeastern Lebanese border town Friday.

According to al-Manar TV, the "ISIL" commander Abu Aisha al-Libi and six other terrorists were killed when the Resistance targeted a militant meeting on the outskirts of Arsal.

The aim of the gathering, which took place in an area identified as Khirbet Hamam, was to plan a terrorist offensive on the outskirts Baalbeck, East of Lebanon.

Hizbullah also destroyed two militant convoys in the same area, al-Manar said.

On Tuesday, the "ISIL" emir for the Qalamoun region Abu Balqis al-Baghdadi was killed in shelling on the eastern outskirts of Arsal, about 7 kilometers south of Ras Baalbek, in the area of Wadi Hmayed.
