Russian Forces Unveil Gigantic ISIL Bomb, Foil Terror Attack

An ISIL bomb attack has been foiled as Russian special forces unearth a gigantic bomb hidden in plastic containers next to a road in the country’s south.

According to Russian security forces, the bomb was comprised around 3.5 tons of explosives and was intended for an attack on the village of Kantyshevo in the south-western Republic of Ingushetia, the Daily Mail reported on Friday.

Two confirmed Takfiri terrorists, Aslan Byutukaev and Beslan Mahauri and several other people who were responsible for planting the explosives were killed in the operation which led to the bomb’s discovery.

A total of 13 plastic casks, each with a capacity of 100 liters, were found buried by the road. The explosive device was detonated by security personnel to prevent its possible exploitation.

Mahauri's wife, who was angered over him taking a second wife, led the forces to the bomb’s location.

The security forces noted that they had been investigating  Byutukaev and Mahauri since they became aware that they had joined the ranks of ISIL in the summer and that the pair had been directly receiving financial support from the terrorists.
