A new military mindset needs to develop, one in which critical, independent thinking is rewarded, and blind allegiance is unacceptable. If you don't want a war in Iran, Syria, or elsewhere where it's not justified, the soldiers need to refuse to pull the trigger. Without them, the war doesn't happen. Don't be so quick to jump because your "leader" tells you to. Use your common sense and judgment. Trust your instincts. Don't ever surrender these things to anyone. Above all else, think hard about the end result of what you're about to do. Be brave and make the hard choice, to say "no", if that's what makes the most sense to you.
