GAZA, (PIC)-- More than 700 Palestinian patients are waiting for the opening of the Rafah border terminal between Egypt and the Gaza Strip in order to travel for treatment, the general department of crossings and borders said on Wednesday.
It said that those critically wounded in the Israeli occupation forces' war on Gaza were among those waiting for the opening of the crossing.
The Israeli siege has led to the death of 320 Palestinian patients so far because of the closure of crossings and the Egyptian refusal to open the Rafah terminal.
The government committee to break the siege on Gaza Strip lashed out at the international community for remaining tight-lipped towards the oppressive siege that has entered its third year.
Adel Zu'rub, the committee's spokesman, charged that the world's silence was tantamount to "complicity" in the IOF war of annihilation against the Palestinian people.
Two Palestinian female patients died on Tuesday as a result of the tight siege and inability to travel abroad for medical treatment not found in the Strip.
Zu'rub said that the Rafah border terminal should be open on permanent basis in its capacity as the sole Arab-controlled crossing for the Gaza inhabitants.
