Hamas: Kidnapping of Israeli soldiers is a strategic vision

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Hamas Movement stated, on the occasion of the Palestinian prisoner's day which is marked on Friday, that the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers is a strategic vision for the liberation of prisoners after the failure of diplomacy and poor agreements to set them free.

In a statement, spokesman for the Movement Abdellatif Al-Qanu'a pointed to the operations of kidnapping Israeli soldiers carried out by Al-Qassam Brigades in the 1980s and 90s, up to the capture of Gilad Shalit, saying it became the Palestinian resistance's strategic approach.

The spokesman announced that his Movement will organize a series of events in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails on this occasion including a ceremony to honor families of prisoners on Thursday and a massive march on Friday.

In a statement received by the PIC, Hamas prisoners in Israel jails scoffed at the events and ceremonies held by the PA in the West Bank to commemorate the prisoner's day while its security apparatuses arrest and detain resistance fighters.

The prisoners said that the PA leaders should feel ashamed of themselves for issuing orders to arrest Palestinians released from Israeli jails instead of shedding crocodile tears over Palestinian prisoners still in Israeli jails.

In another context, Hamas lawmakers demanded ex-PA chief Mahmoud Abbas to apologize for the humiliation he caused to the Palestinian people through sending a letter of congratulations to Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu on the occasion of the Jewish holidays.
