OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Hebrew radio reported Tuesday that Israel and the US will carry out joint military drills described as the largest of their kind in order to test three missile ballistic defense systems.
The drills will test the launching of the second generation of the Israeli-made missile defense system called Arrow in addition to the Thaad missiles and the ship-based Aegis ballistic missile defense systems that are made in the US.
According to the radio, the purpose of these military exercises is to create the necessary infrastructure that would enable interoperability between Israeli and American ballistic missile systems in case the US administration decided to deploy them in Israel in the event of any conflict with Iran, like it did during the first Gulf war in 1991.
