GAZA, (PIC)-- Palestinian expert in settlement affairs Khaled Al-Amayreh has said that the Israeli occupation authority's (IOA) settlement policy eliminates any possible success for a negotiated peaceful settlement to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Amayreh told PIC reporter that the IOA policy makes the establishment of a Palestinian state an "impossibility".
The IOA continued building of settlements is a message to the world especially the PA in Ramallah, the Arab world and the Obama administration that Israel was not thinking of peace. "Those who build settlements and invite Zionists to settle on lands not their own do not want peace," he elaborated.
The IOA is planning a new major settlement project to accommodate 2,000 Israeli settlers in occupied Jerusalem that extends from Sha'fat refugee camp to the French Hill intersection.
