Raad Warns against Accepting a Uni-colored Cabinet
13/09/2009 During an Iftar in Nabatiyeh on Saturday, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad stressed that Hezbollah will participate in the cabinet, regardless of who is appointed as prime minister-designate, describing the party’s contribution as a “guarantee and source of comfort,” even to the “parties responsible of forming the government”.
“If taking part in the government based on national-unity is in Lebanon’s interests,” said Raad, “then we will do so.” He warned against accepting to form a “uni-colored” cabinet, which “targets the Lebanese” and is solely supported by “those who want to meddle with Lebanon’s stability and civil peace.”
Raad added that Hezbollah will continue to “urge” the PM-designate to hold a dialogue that respects the country’s political differences.
