NEW YORK, (PIC)-- Richard Goldstone, the head of the UN fact finding mission on human rights, has rejected Israel's criticism of his report on the war crimes committed by its army during its war on Gaza.
He denounced the Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman's statement that the report would impede the Middle East peace process, adding that there is no peace process at present in the region and that the Israeli foreign minister himself does not want such a process to exist.
Goldstone in a press statement on Tuesday commenting on Lieberman's remarks described such remarks as completely superficial and false.
The South African judge said that Israel's war on Gaza aimed at punishing the entire population of the Gaza Strip.
