IOF soldiers arrest mother of five detainees, steal jewelry

NABLUS, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested Um Bakir, 65, in downtown Nablus at dawn Sunday after storming and ransacking her home, Ahrar center for prisoners' studies and human rights reported.
It said in a statement that Um Bakir is the mother of five detainees in Israeli jails, noting that early last month the IOF soldiers also detained her daughter-in-law Nilli Al-Safadi then early this month arrested her remaining son Omar and her grandson Bakir Bakir, 19.
Fuad Al-Khafsh, the director of the Ahrar center, said that Um Bakir is considered the oldest Palestinian woman prisoner and was being detained in Petah Tikwa interrogation center. Her eldest son Bakir and Nilli's blind husband were also moved to that center.
He opined that the repulsive image of Israel is displayed in its ugliest form in the kidnap of the old Palestinian grandmother, who is suffering a number of illnesses, to pressure her sons. He asked for immediate intervention to ensure release of Um Bakir.
In another development, IOF troops arrested a Palestinian young man in Al-Khalil city at dawn Sunday after searching his home and stealing Jewelry from the house.
Local sources told the PIC that Akram Al-Haddad was arrested and his jewelry was stolen during the search.
