RAFAH, (PIC)-- Three Palestinian citizens were killed on Monday night after the tunnel they were inside collapsed over their heads in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, medical sources said on Tuesday.
They told the PIC reporter that the Egyptian authorities handed Palestinian medical teams the bodies of two teenage brothers along with that of their uncle at the Rafah crossing.
The Palestinian government had notified the Egyptian authorities that three Palestinians went missing in one of the tunnels late on Monday.
Tens of Palestinians have got killed in similar circumstances while looking for their sustenance in those tunnels in light of the tight Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip for the past three years coupled with the Egyptian closure of the Rafah crossing.
