NABLUS, (PIC)--The Israeli Haaretz newspaper reported Monday that Mahmoud Abbas’s militias kidnapped nine members of Al-Aqsa Brigades, the dissolved armed wing of Fatah, in Nablus at the behest of Israel and locked them in Juneid prison.

The newspaper said that the Shin Bet intelligence apparatus told the Palestinian Authority (PA) that it backtracked on its previous decision to grant these nine members an amnesty and demanded the PA to imprison them.

In a separate incident, Abbas’s militias kidnapped Tuesday morning 10 Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas in the districts of Al-Khalil, Nablus, Ramallah and Tulkarem.

Most of these detainees spent some time in PA jails or were ex-detainees in Israel prisons.

Palestinian sources reported that the health condition of a prisoner in PA jails called Adel Jawarish deteriorated because of his exposure to severe torture at the hands of Abbas’s militias.
