AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Jewish armed settlers closed the main road linking northern and southern villagers in Al-Khalil district on Friday, local sources reported.
They added that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) had opened the road after ten years of closure at the pretext of providing security for settlers but were ordered to re-open it by a court ruling.
The settlers blocked Palestinian cars from passing through the road under the escort of IOF troops.
Meanwhile, other groups of settlers uprooted 70 fruitful trees south of Al-Khalil, local sources said, adding that the farmers woke up to find the trees cut off by electric saws.
In Nablus district, the Jewish settlers took control of 25 dunums of Deir Estiya village and used military bulldozers to damage those lands and prevented their Palestinian owners from approaching.
