Muslim Brotherhood issues edict forbidding importing goods from Israel
[ 18/01/2010 - 11:22 AM ]
AMMAN, (PIC)-- The Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan has prohibited the import of goods from Israel, describing it as normalization with the Israeli occupation and a boost to its economy.
The group issued an edict on Sunday saying that the religious duty entails recognizing any of these goods and informing the anti-normalization committees.
It said that the goods should not be circulated and the citizens should be made aware of their religious duty towards those goods.
The group advised the merchants against dealing with Israeli goods, describing any profit in dealing with them as "Haram".
The group said that trade transactions with the "Zionist enemy" would only boost its economy at the expense of the national economy.
