PITY THE POOR HOMELESS SETTLERS OF ISRAEL

Or…. A TALE OF ZIONIST ATROCITIES

More than 90,000 Palestinians have lost their homes as a result of Israel’s war on Gaza, but the world pities those Jewish settlers that were evavuated from Gaza a few years back. The following two reports give a pretty good picture of the situations…..

Homeless Gazans live in bleak camp one year after war
by Saud Abu Ramadan

BEIT LAHIA, Gaza Strip — Grief could be easily seen in his eyes when Marwan al-Attar, a 55-year-old resident of Biet Lahiya town in northern Gaza Strip spoke about his camp life.
Al-Attar and his family, as well as thousands of Palestinian families in the impoverished coastal enclave, had their homes destroyed and demolished during a 22-day Israeli offensive that ended on January 18.
A camp sponsored by international humanitarian organizations, was erected a year ago in the town’s al-Atatra district, one mile from the Israeli borders.
“I left the camp 45 days ago after rain and wind destroyed the tent I lived in,” said the half blind jobless al-Attar.
“My daughters suffered from skin diseases, and their conditions are critical,” he signed after every sentence, and grazed his forehead from time to time.
The sky was grey, a sign that rain might come again. The playground-like camp of tents looked gloomy. Twenty tents spread at the camp with a big pool of rain water in its center.
Barefooted young kids played in the cold pool, unaware of their plight. But their parents looked battered and miserable.
The tents were worn-out, even the surroundings look lifeless. Houses were shattered and damaged, and fields were deserted. There were no signs of life, except for the children who were leaving the almost destroyed school nearby.
“I live together with my 10 kids in our destroyed house. I loaned money from a relative and rebuilt a room and a toilet. Nobody cares about us or sends us food or money, I have been jobless for many years now because I’m half blind and I cannot carry out any kind of job. We are neglected,” said al-Attar.
According to the official figures of the ministry of housing in the deposed government of Hamas movement in Gaza, Israeli had completely destroyed 4,100 buildings, including houses and governmental buildings, adding that 17,000 structures were either badly or partially damaged.
Although the international donors, who convened in March in the Egyptian resort of Sharm al-Sheikh, had pledged around 5 billion U.S. dollars to reconstruct the Gaza Strip, the government of Hamas and the residents are complaining that nothing has been built since the promise.
The Palestinians in Gaza are not able to get construction raw-material due to a tight Israeli blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip for three years. Israel tightened the blockade after Hamas Islamic movement seized control of the enclave by force in 2007 and routed President Mahmoud Abbas security forces.
However, the United Nations and other international humanitarian organizations offer frequent aid of money, food, tents and blankets to the families who are still homeless and still live in a miserable living conditions in tents erected near their destroyed houses.
“Because I’m half blind, I receive a grant of 1,000 NIS (about 263 U.S. dollars) every three months from the European Union through the ministry of social affairs,” said al-Attar, adding that “my kids suffer from psychological problems. The youngest ones suffer from bedwetting and lack of sleep.”
He said, “They don’t even concentrate when studying. I cannot take them to doctors because I’m penniless,” adding “I hope I died before I saw my kids suffering in such a way. I’m still afraid that Israel might launch another war on Gaza. I don’t want them to suffer.”
Saleh Abu Laila, a 52-year-old man from Biet Lahiya, still lives in the same tent city in al Atatra, where he used to live in the town of Biet Lahiya, and he moved to the tent city after his house was destroyed by the Israelis during the last war on the Gaza Strip.
“I have 20 kids and two wives and we have been living here for almost a year. We moved to this camp after our house was totally destroyed. Hamas government gave me 2,000 Euros, but they were not enough to buy simple furniture for the two tents we live in, not to rebuild a house,” said Abu Laila.
A week ago, Hamas asked him and other residents from the camp to evacuate their tents and find another place to live. However, the homeless families who live in the small camp of the tents did not follow Hamas orders.
Al-Attar, Abu Laila and dozens of families in the Gaza Strip are still living in miserable conditions, hoping that their suffering would end when Israel end the blockade after captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit is getting freed and the Palestinian rival Fatah and Hamas movements reach a reconciliation deal.

BUT…..

The people written about above get no pity and hardly any assistance. They are only Palestinians…. ALIENS.

The ones written about below are the true sufferers…. at least that’s what we are meant to believe.

Four Years On, Many Gaza Evacuees Are Without Permanent Homes

More than four years after her family was ejected from their home in the Gaza Strip, Karen Sarfaty lives with her husband and four of their children in a small pre-fab house in this small town located about midway between the southern Israeli cities of Ashkelon and Ashdod.
Neither she nor her husband have found adequate employment. The compensation she received from the government is running out. Her daughter is only now beginning to overcome the trauma of their forced removal from Gaza. And while the lots allocated to them to build permanent houses are nearly ready, Sarfati says she lacks the money for construction.
