Rejoub: Washington threatened Fatah with siege if reconciliation reached

TUNIS, (PIC)-- The US administration threatened Fatah faction that it would face a siege if it signed a reconciliation agreement with the Hamas Movement, Jibril Al-Rejoub, the deputy Fatah central committee secretary, revealed.
He told Tunisian daily Al-Sabah published on Tuesday that the American threats were voiced during the national dialog sessions.
Palestinian premier and Hamas leader in Gaza Ismail Haneyya said in a televised interview on Tuesday that no success is expected for the Palestinian reconciliation until the Palestinian will is free from foreign pressures and dictates.
He told Al-Quds TV network that his Movement wanted a comprehensive agreement that would not leave any room for recurrence of past failures.
