Al-Qassam: Olmert’s confessions in his book disclosed Israel’s ugly face

GAZA, (PIC)-- Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said Saturday the confessions made by former Israeli premier Ehud Olmert in his book about the experience of the war he waged on the Gaza Strip unveiled the ugly face of Israel and the disintegration of its leadership.

Spokesman for the Brigades Abu Obeida stressed in a statement posted on Al-Qassam website that Olmert’s confessions responded to all those who tried to market the idea of defeat amongst the Palestinian people and alleged after the war that the Israeli occupation achieved a victory.

The spokesman pointed out that during the first days of the war, the number of civilian casualties was not enough for Israeli war criminals, so they gave their orders to kill more, adding that this war changed a lot of expectations and turned the magic against the magician.

Olmert had been always insistent on not admitting the failure of his war on Gaza, but in his newly-released book he conceded defeat and documented some serious details of this war.

He affirmed that he and his war minister Ehud Barak had set a timeline for achieving the war goals in a short time through the killing of the lowest number of civilians, and alleged that during the war he was provided with false data by political and security officials regarding the Palestinian casualties and the time remaining to end the rule of Hamas in Gaza.
