GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Kenan Obeid, the director of the Palestinian power authority, has warned that the sole power generation station in Gaza Strip was working on one generator after the other one was stopped due to lack of enough fuel.
He told the PIC on Sunday that the fuel shipment that entered the Strip via Karm Abu Salem crossing was not enough to operate the second generator, which means that Gaza would be plunged into darkness.
Obeid asked all those responsible to shoulder their responsibilities especially the finance ministry in the Ramallah government, which slashed its financing of fuel supplies leading to a 50% cut in fuel and cooking gas supplies.
