JENIN, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have stormed the house of Palestinian citizen Ismail Abu Tamie, one of the political leaders of Hamas in Jenin city, north of the West Bank, on Monday, local sources revealed.
The sources added that IOF patrols cordoned the house of Abu Tamie before raiding and wreaking havoc on it, terrifying his wife and children although they didn’t make any arrests.
Meanwhile, Palestinian lawmakers from Hamas Movement in the West Bank condemned the arrest of Muntaha Al-Taweel, 45, wife of Al-Bireh city mayor Jamal Al-Taweel Monday morning, describing the arrest of the Palestinian lady as "monstrous".
They added that the arrest was in clear violation of human rights, urging the human rights institution to highlight the issue and to pressure the Israeli occupation to release the lady.
More than one hundred Palestinian ladies are incarcerated in different Israeli jails, many of them mothers, in very bad conditions.
In Gaza Strip, the PA ministry of prisoners and ex-prisoners seconded the condemnation of the lawmakers at the arrest of Taweel, accusing the Israeli occupation of following a programmed policy to humiliate the Palestinian people by arresting the Palestinian women.
