PSL condemns new Israeli museum on Islamic graveyard

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Palestinian Scholars League (PSL) has strongly deprecated Thursday the Israeli occupation government plans to build new museum on the ruins of an Islamic cemetery in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
According to a statement issued by the PSL, the naming of the museum as the museum of "tolerance" was cunning, because it would make anyone protesting against such a museum appear in a bad light.
"What kind of tolerance are the Israelis talking about when they build a museum on the remains of the dead people?", the PSL questioned.
The PSL also explained that the IOA plan of constructing the museum on the Mamanullah cemetery serves the IOA plans to distort Arab and Muslim identity of Jerusalem, exploiting the unexplainable Arab and Muslim silence towards such schemes.
Reacting to the IOF troops repressive measures against the Palestinian people in Shafat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, the PSL called on the Palestinian people in Jerusalem to remain steadfast on their land and keep blocking the Israeli attempts to expel them from it with the aim to turn Jerusalem into pure Jewish city.
Moreover, the PSL sent a warning message to Arab and Muslim governments and peoples stressing that the burden to defend Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque wasn’t on the Palestinian people only but rather on every Arab and Muslim individual.
