Hayya: IOA exploiting Palestinian division to judaize holy shrines
[ 03/03/2010 - 12:06 PM ]
GAZA, (PIC)-- Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya, political bureau member of Hamas, has said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) was exploiting the state of internal Palestinian rift to judaize mosques and holy shrines.
Hayya, who was addressing university students at the end of a march organized in Gaza on Tuesday to protest IOA practices against Islamic and Christian shrines in occupied Palestine, recalled that the IAO had turned many mosques into bars or sold them to settlers to build houses on their ruins.
He urged Arab and Islamic leaders to support the Islamic holy shrines, noting that the Arab and Islamic masses back the Palestine cause.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abu Halabia, the rapporteur of the Quds committee in the Palestinian legislative council, told the PIC on Tuesday that the IOA was insistent on carrying out its insane and criminal scheme in occupied Jerusalem.
He noted that the IOA announcement of a new "Jewish" city in Negev was part of the judaization plot of entire Palestine.
Hamas leader Dr. Ismail Radwan said that the IOA decision to demolish tens of Palestinian homes in Bustan suburb, south of the Aqsa Mosque, was "racist".
He told the PIC on Tuesday that the IOA was pursuing a policy of forced evacuation of Palestinians and demolition of their homes.
