RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired teargas bombs at a demonstration organized by hundreds of citizens that headed towards the Beitonia crossing, Ramallah district, near the Ofer jail on Wednesday morning, eyewitnesses reported.

They said that participants threw stones at the soldiers, and added that many citizens were treated for breathing problems.

The IOF said that three of its soldiers were hurt in the confrontations and that two citizens were arrested for participating in the march.

Another march was organized in Tora village, west of Jenin city, to commemorate the land day and headed to the main gate erected by the IOF at the entrance to the village where the youths engaged the soldiers.

Similar violent clashes between stone throwing youths and invading IOF soldiers were reported in Doheisha refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, at dawn Wednesday.

Local sources said that the IOF troops stormed the camp and broke into a number of houses before destroying two civilian cars then retreating without arrests.

They said that young men threw stones and firebombs at the soldiers.

IOF soldiers also broke into Aza refugee camp in the same district, broke into a number of homes and summoned two citizens to the intelligence headquarters.

In the Gaza Strip, IOF soldiers mounting 20 armored vehicles and escorting huge bulldozers advanced into southern Gaza Strip east of Khan Younis and damaged civilian property.

The PIC reporter noted that the number of vehicles is the biggest since the clash of last Friday with resistance fighters that left seven casualties among the soldiers.
