Hamas: The PA security cooperation with Israel behind the murder of Suweiti
[ 26/04/2010 - 05:45 PM ]
DAMASCUS, (PIC)-- The Movement of Hamas said Monday that the assassination of Al-Qassam leader Ali Al-Suweiti today reflected the extent of security and intelligence cooperation and services provided for Israel by the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah.
In a press release, Hamas added that without this cooperation, Israel would not have been able to reach resistance men in the West Bank and assassinate them before the eyes of their families
It emphasized that Israel’s recent military escalation indicates its determination to liquidate the Palestinian resistance fighters in the West Bank in cooperation with the PA as a prelude to making room for the Zio-American project and what is called secret or indirect negotiations between Mahmoud Abbas and Israel.
The Movement noted that this heinous crime was committed in conjunction with a security campaign carried out by Abbas’s militias and led to the kidnapping of more than 30 cadres of Hamas.
Hamas stressed that the will of the Palestinian resistance will remain alive despite all crimes perpetrated by Israel and its lackeys in the PA and vowed at the same time to curb the aggression of the Israeli occupation and eradicate its existence in Palestine.
In the same context, senior Hamas official Ismail Radwan accused the PA of helping Israel to reach Suweiti and kill him and providing it with intelligence information about resistance fighters.
Radwan said the way in which Israel killed Suweiti reflected its systematic criminal mentality, stressing that this ugly crime will not undermine the determination of the Palestinian people and their resistance forces to defend themselves against Israel’s continued aggression and violations.
For his part, senior Islamic Jihad leader Khaled Al-Batesh stated that the assassination of a prominent commander of Al-Qassam Brigades in the West Bank is aimed at breaking the will of the Palestinian people and force them to accept a peace settlement outlined by Israel.
Batesh added that Israel’s attempt to force the Palestinian people to surrender would never happen and such assassinations only increase their determination and make them more insistent on resisting the occupation.
He opined that Israel escalates its military aggression against the Palestinians whenever there are political moves regarding its negotiations with the PA, considering that there is a direct correlation in this matter and expecting further military escalation in light of the US-sponsored political activity taking place nowadays.
Hamas: Resistance to continue until defeat of occupation
[ 26/04/2010 - 05:52 PM ]
DAMASCUS, (PIC)-- Hamas reasserted on Monday that its resistance against the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land would continue until final defeat of occupation regardless of murders and demolition of homes.
Hamas, in a statement on Monday, hailed the Qassam martyr Ali Al-Sweiti, who was killed in a confrontation with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) after a battle that lasted for hours and only after the IOF troops razed the house where he was entrenched.
The movement held the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) fully responsible for the new aggression and held the Oslo team, led by former PA chief Mahmoud Abbas, also responsible for maintaining security coordination with the IOA.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the first deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council, condemned the "brutal assassination crime" of Suweiti, who was one of the prominent commanders of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas.
In a press release, Bahar lashed out at the Ramallah authority for bragging about discovering a huge arms cache for the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank, and urged the resistance to prepare for new rounds of battles with the IOF.
Hamas MP Mushir Al-Masri also accused the Ramallah authority of involvement in the assassination of Suweiti, describing it as a fruit of the PA security coordination with the IOA.
Hamas's parliamentary bloc charged that the IOF soldiers' murder of Sweiti fell in line with attempts to subjugate the Palestinian people.
It called in a statement on Monday on the human rights groups and the world community to condemn the Israeli crimes and put an end to them instead of always blaming the victim, which only encourages the real culprits to go ahead in their crimes.
