Palestinian lawyer tortured in Israeli dungeons
[ 10/05/2010 - 10:16 AM ]
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Jerusalemite lawyer Shireen Al-Aisawi has said that Israeli interrogators in the Maskobeh detention center in occupied Jerusalem have been torturing her since first day of detention on 25/4/2010.
She said in a message to the Palestinian prisoner's society on Sunday that Israeli interrogators deprive her of sleep, explaining that she is allowed to sleep for two hours only and even during those two hours the jailors continue knocking on the door of her prison cell.
Aisawi said that the interrogators claim they had a secret file against her to which she is being interrogated.
The lawyer used to call on prisoners in Israeli jails as part of her job and was a known prisoners' activist.
She said that there is no running water in her cell, and complained of a pale yellow light in her cell that is switched on round the clock, which greatly affected her eyesight.
The lawyer at conclusion of her message appealed to human rights groups and societies defending prisoners to help and support her.
