RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) as usual used force to quell Palestinian anti wall marches in a number of West Bank village on Friday, detaining a number of marchers in the process.
Local sources said that the IOF soldiers fired teargas bombs and rubber-coated bullets at demonstrators in Nilin village, Ramallah district, while heading to confiscated land lots.
On the other side of the wall Zionist settlers chanted anti-Arab slogans such as "Death to the Arabs", and supported the IOF in their violent quelling of the march.
In Bilin, Ramallah district, IOF troops arrested five journalists, and released three of them later, locals said, adding that a reporter was wounded in the confrontations while dozens were treated for breathing difficulties.
Locals said that the IOF soldiers blocked foreigners from entering Bilin, telling them that the village is a closed military zone and that if they were present near the area close to the wall they would be detained and deported.
IOF soldiers detained a Palestinian taking part in the anti wall march in Ma'sara village, Bethlehem district, and blocked the marchers from reaching the wall.
Tens of Palestinians also took part in a similar demonstration in Wadi Rahal village, Bethlehem district, but were blocked by the IOF soldiers from reaching the separation wall.
