In response to the local and intenational outcry against the brave Israeli commandos’ murder of 20 and wounding over 100 civilian aid-workers on board Gaza Freedom Floatilla on May 30 – Egyptian government of Hosni Mubarak opened the Rafah border crossing on June 1, 2010. Reportedly it was done on the direct orders of the President-for-life, Hosni Mubarak at the request of the Opposition party, Muslim Brotherhood.
Rafah border crossing is the only point on the besieged Gazzah which is not petrolled by the Israeli forces directly. It’s controlled by Egyptian border police as part of the US$1.5 billion annual USAID Cairo receives since it recognized the Zionist entity in 1979.
Hosni Musbarak’s hatred toward Islamist government of Hamas, Egptian Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic Republic which supports Hamas, is welknown.
Therefore, it would be naive to expect that the Rafah border crossing will remain open permanently.
The United Nations Security Council met on Monday at the request of Turkey and Lebanon, two non-permanent members of the 15-member world body. In addition to Turkey, several other members lashed out Israel’s Nazi-style action and demanded that the world body lift the 3-year Israeli blockade of Gazzah Strip and free 1.5 million native Palestinians from Israeli fascism. US deputy ambassador Alejandro Wolff asked Israel to conduct a “credible and transparent investigation” of the incident – which was a pre-planned attack by the IOF coward commandos on civilian passengers.
Turkish Prime Minister, Tayyip Erdogan, called Israeli attack “a bloody massacre” and warned that “no one should test Turkey’s patience”. He called on the international community to punish Israel for it terrorism at international waters. Four Turkish citizen have been identified being killed by the ‘brave Jew soldiers’. Ankara has recalled its ambassador from Tel Aviv while Zionist Entity has ordered the families of Jewish diplomats out of Turkey. In Tel Aviv Jew fanatics celebrated the massacre of 20 innocent aid-workers in front of Turkish Embassy (watch video below).
Barack Obama called Recep Tayyip Erdogan to express his “deep condolences” for the Israeli murder of Turkish citizens and impounding one of Turkish vessel. He told Erdogan that Washington is “working with Israel” on the release of the impounded vessel and its pessangers.
Obama avoided to mention that both the US and Turkey being NATO members – he would consider Israeli attack on Turkish vessel similar to Israeli attack on USS Liberty, in June 1967, in which Israelis killed 34 Americans and wounded another 174.
Interestingly, a Russian destroyer reached USS Liberty six hours before the USS Davis in response to the distress call.
Israeli ambassador in USA, Michael Oren, in his interview with Fox News described the massacre at the international waters, as “perfectly legal, perfectly humane and very responsible”.
Gilad Atzmon, an Israel-born British writer, Lebanon War veteran and famous Jazz muscian called Israeli action as Israeli Butchery at Sea: “For days the Israeli government prepared the Israeli society for the massacre at sea. It said that the Flotilla carried weapons, it had ‘terrorists’ on board. Only yesterday evening it occurred to me that this Israeli malicious media spin was there to prepare the Israeli public for a full scale Israeli deadly military operation in international waters.
Make no mistake. If I knew exactly where Israel was heading and the possible consequences, the Israeli cabinet and military elite were fully aware of it all the way along. What happened yesterday wasn’t just a pirate terrorist attack. It was actually murder in broad day light even though it happened in the dark”.
