NABLUS, (PIC)-- The international Tadamun (solidarity) society for human rights gave its annual testimony about Israel's violations in Palestine to the UN international committee for human rights.
Lawyer of the society Faris Abu Hasan said that this testimony detailed the major violations committed by Israel against the Palestinian people during one year and was aimed at exposing Israel's crimes and documenting them internationally.
Abu Hasan said that the society submitted to the international committee five detailed worksheets highlighting the major violations that took place during the period between January 2009 and January 2010.
He affirmed that the society reviewed before the committee the main problems suffered by Palestinian patients in Israeli jails, the violations against journalists, the Palestinians killed by Israeli troops during the reporting period, the violations against Islamic and Christian holy shrines and the demolition of homes.
In another context, the Israeli government's committee of legal affairs is expected to discuss on Sunday a new penal law depriving the Palestinians of 1948 occupied lands of his civil rights if they were proved to be involved in activities in support of the resistance.
The new law gives the Israeli minister of interior the right to withdraw the civil rights of Palestinians living in Israeli occupied lands, including the national insurance, pensions and other allowances.
The law was introduced by Knesset member David Rotem and intended for putting an end to what he described as an increase in the Palestinians involved in resistance activities against Israel.
The committee of legal affairs will also discuss another law tabled by David Ozlaoi who calls for withdrawing the citizenship from all 1948 Palestinians if they were involved in military actions against Israel.
