OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Vietnamese government has called off a visit for Israeli president Shimon Peres in protest at the Israeli commandos' massacre at international waters that left tens of solidarity activists killed or wounded.
The Hebrew radio said on Saturday that Tel Aviv was trying to calm down the tension with Vietnam over the massacre and re-arrange a new date for Peres's visit.
For its part, the Norwegian army cancelled an international seminar because of the participation of an Israeli officer in it following the Freedom Flotilla massacre.
A spokeswoman for the army said that the defense ministry was not satisfied with the participation of the Israeli officer only few days after violence was used by the Israeli army against a civilian ship.
Many countries have expressed outrage at the way Israel attacked the Freedom Flotilla ships and the casualties inflicted in lines of the unarmed activists.
