OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Fatah leader and former chief negotiator with Israel Ahmed Qurei met in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday with Israeli Kadima party leader and former foreign minister Tzipi Livni.
Reuters said that the Qurei-Livni discussion focused on the stalemate in the peace process after 19 years of futile negotiations, quoting Qurei as expressing regret over the current situation of the peace process.
Tens of Israeli academicians attended the meeting held at King David Hotel.
Livni had recently cancelled a trip to London out of fear of being apprehended for war crime charges leveled against her by lawyers in Britain for serving as the foreign minister during the Israeli war on Gaza.
