OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Israeli police detained on Thursday a news crew while they were heading out of the Aqsa Mosque, and escorted them to the police station at the Western Wall for questioning.
The reporters were charged with taking photographs inside the Aqsa Mosque, which Israeli forces consider closed to the media unless granted permission by the police.
After seizing their equipment, police proceeded to interrogate the crew about photographs they took inside the mosque of a banner bearing images of Islamic leader Sheikh Raed Salah and the Jerusalem MPs and former minister who are sitting in at the Red Cross headquarters in Jerusalem.
The banner was raised by Jerusalemites last Friday during strict security restrictions pursued by Israel against Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque that has affected hundreds of thousand of West Bank citizens and millions of Muslims from the world over.
