AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- A group of Palestinians have asked the Israeli Supreme Court to implement its ruling stipulating the evacuation of Palestinian commercial properties occupied by extremist Jewish settlers in wholesale market in the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil.
The Haaretz website reported on Thursday that the IOF is procrastinating in evacuating the shops which have been illegally occupied by the settlers since 2001 for the past two and a half years despite the fact that the court ruled that the settlers should be removed from the shops, even by force if necessary.
The court ruled on the matter two and a half years ago and prompted the IOF to implement the court ruling and evacuate the shops which extremist Jewish settlers occupied nine years ago under the pretext that they “were owned by Jews”.
Abdel-Jawad Al-Awawdi applied again, on behalf of legal owners of the shops, to the supreme court appealing for the implementation of its earlier ruling.
