Israel to build huge military bridge between Buraq plaza and Aqsa Mosque

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Al-Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said that the Israeli committee for planning and building in occupied Jerusalem irreversibly approved the plan of building the military bridge between Al-Buraq square and Al-Maghariba Gate of the Aqsa Mosque.

Different Hebrew newspaper published the announcement of the approved plan in which the committee said that "the project is consistent with the Israeli policy aimed at consolidating the unification of Jerusalem under Israel's sovereignty."

The blueprint for this bridge illustrates that it will be huge and can be used by thousands of Jewish settlers to cross all at once into the Aqsa Mosque's courtyards. It also can be used to transfer troops and military vehicles in case Israel decided to attack the holy Mosque.

Sheikh Ra'ed Salah, the head of the Islamic Movement, had warned many times before of Israel's intentions to build this bridge, the first time was in 2007 when Israel started to destroy Al-Maghariba Gate.

Al-Aqsa foundation warned in its statement on Tuesday that this plan heralds that Israel harbors malicious intents against the Aqsa Mosque and appealed to the Arab and Muslim nations to urgently move to save Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque before it is too late.
