People’s Movement: Investigation with Seniora and Hamedeh Following Exposure of “Israeli” Violation to Telecoms Network



The People's Movement considered that the "Israeli" violation of the Lebanese telecoms network which constitutes a serious threat to the country and its people.

In its statement, it noted that "This violation could not have taken place without the connivance of high-ranked officials in the Telecoms Ministry," calling for "An Inclusive investigation with the former Telecoms Ministers, particularly Minister Marwan Hamedeh as the most serious violations took place while he was in office.

The movement also said that "The serious facts revealed the other day (during the telecoms conference) takes us back to the decisions issued by the Council of Ministers on 5 May 2008, especially the decisions concerning the removal of the resistance's landline and the letter -the claim- that was sent to the Security Council. The movement reiterated that the two (the facts and the decisions) are inseparable.

In the same context, the movement further said in its statement that "A logic connection between the two leads to a clear result, which implies that the Ministerial Council's decisions at the time came in compliance to foreign demands related to "Israel".

The statement concluded that the purpose of such decisions was to fail an important weapon of the resistance and expose it before the enemy, which requires investigating the Prime Minister back then, Fouad Seniora and his ministerial team who took the decisions.
