Aoun Holds President, PM Responsible for Obstructing Cabinet

 21/12/2010 The head of the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc MP Michel Aoun held on Tuesday President Michel Sleiman and Prime Minister Saad Hariri responsible for the obstruction of the cabinet functioning, urging them to call for a session to be held on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters following his bloc’s weekly meeting, Aoun warned against the illusory danger being fed by those seeking strife. "Whether they vote for or against it, the false witnesses file will not be dropped and postponing the matter is not in the country's interest," Aoun said.

"The constitution has been torn apart and obstructing article 65 has unfortunately taken place at the hands of the head of state," the Free Patriotic Movement leader pointed out.

Addressing the Finance Ministry, Aoun stated: "After long studies, it has become confirmed to us that the ministry has been a failure since 1993" seeing as article 83 and 87 have not been implemented.
