For the first time Israel admit that Palestinian resistence is powerful as Hezbollah in Jully war. Gaza Reality Fragile, Explosive, thus said Ashkenazi.
Ashkenazi said Palestinian resistance forces launched a missile two weeks ago at an Israeli tank along the Gaza Strip border, piercing the tank and entering the cockpit. “But luckily it didn't explode,” he said.
According to Ashkenazi, Hamas has gained possession of new advanced anti-tank missiles that they were unable to get hold of before, similar to those obtained by Hezbollah during the 2006 war in Lebanon.

******************************************However, for TON TFUUUUUUU What Hamas and Jihad doing is not RESISTANCE.
In his Hasbara site he wrote few keywords (the same few words he prayed for years) to Jihad and Hamas:
"Here are a few keywords Islamic Jihad and others should look up; they might learn something: Logic; science; scientific method; cause and effect; Sun Tzu; The Art of War; Hizbullah; tactics and strategy.
Allahu Akbar is not a substitute for using your brain; God gave you one, how about using it?
Enough stupidity paraded as "resistance".

Regardless of you wishful thinking "The bottom-line: The fact that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians showed up for Hamas's annual anniversary in Gaza on Tuesday is a clarion testimony that Hamas is here to stay, regardless of Israeli and American wishful thinking."
21/12/2010 Israeli occupation forces Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Tuesday that "the reality in Gaza could be fragile and explosive."
He spoke several hours after a Qassam rocket exploded near a kindergarten in a western Negev kibbutz, lightly injuring a woman, according to Ynet.
In the past few months, Ashkenazi said, the Israeli occupation forces had initiated “112 operations against terrorists, killing 60”. Five of them – allegedly affiliated with the Islamic Jihad – were killed on Saturday.
"Yesterday we attacked Hamas targets and posts along the region," he said of the latest strike, which left several Hamas members hurt.
The army chief added that the first regiment of the Iron Dome anti-missile system was expected to be operational in the beginning of 2011. "We'll decide how and where to station it."
Addressing the situation in Lebanon, Lieutenant-General Ashkenazi said the tensions were high ahead of the publication of indictments in the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
Moving on to Iran, he said that "the Iranian nuclear project is progressing, despite difficulties from all kinds of directions. They were surprised by the international sanctions, including those imposed by the Chinese and Russians."
As for the WikiLeaks publications, Ashkenazi said that "it's a very bad thing, which affects our relations with foreign countries."
20/12/2010 The Zionist entity on Sunday decided it will deploy tanks equipped with an active armor protection system known as Windbreaker to the border area along the Gaza Strip, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported on Monday, amid information that Palestinian fighters have upgraded their anti-tank missiles.
The daily said that the deployment is to begin next month following intelligence assessments that the threat of anti-tank missile attacks in the area is on the rise.
Two weeks ago an Israeli tank was hit in the northern portion of the border with the Gaza Strip by an anti-tank missile. The tank was damaged but the crew was not injured.
Israeli security sources had said at the time that there are strong indications that the Palestinian fighters in the Gaza Strip have upgraded their anti-tank missile capabilities.
A number of Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip hold hundreds of anti-tank missiles, of different types and sophistication - from the relatively simply RPG to advanced anti-tank missiles, the daily added.
Haaretz also reported that a battalion from the 401st Brigade will be deployed with its Windbreaker-equipped tanks in the area, after another one was to have deployed its armored units earlier.
The Rafael produced system, which is marketed abroad as Trophy, is capable of neutralizing advanced anti-tank missiles at different ranges. Following the 2006 July war, the Israeli occupation forces decided to procure the system because of the many incidents in which anti-tank missiles fired by Hezbollah fighters managed to damage Israeli tanks.
The daily added that four years after the war, only a single battalion has been equipped with the system - the 9th. The battalion is also equipped with the most modern type of Merkava battle tank, the Mark IV. At the current rate of procurement it will be several years before significant numbers of battalions are equipped with the system.
