OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Deputies in the Israeli Knesset (parliament) have called for assassinating former Arab MP Azmi Bishara, describing him as "terrorist".
The Knesset had endorsed the first reading of what came to be known as the Azmi Bishara draft law, which stipulates stripping the former MK of all his financial dues paid to him in accordance with the laws.
Bishara resigned from the Knesset after the Israeli authorities filed a lawsuit charging him with collaborating with the Lebanese Hizbullah. He is now living in Qatar.
Heated debates during the discussion of the draft law were witnessed between Arab and Jewish deputies during which MK Michael Ben-Ari said that Bishara's fate should be like that of Mabhouh and Mughniye, who were assassinated in Dubai and Damascus respectively in what is widely believed to have been Israeli intelligence operations.
Other Jewish deputies launched a ferocious campaign against the Arab MKs Jamal Zahalka and Hanin Al-Zoabi, pledging to work for their expulsion from the Knesset.
