"..Druze leader Walid Jumblat on Thursday uncovered a "secret" Syrian-Saudi document that should protect Lebanon from the impact of the international tribunal indictment. "The only solution at the moment is a secret document being prepared by the Saudi King and the Syrian President which should be announced before an indictment is issued," Jumblat told Al-Arabiya television news channel in a late night interview.
"An agreement is being prepared under the auspices of the Saudi King that would be acceptable by both (political) camps in order to defuse repercussions of the indictment...the indictment has "become a threat to Lebanon's security."
Jumblat asked why the U.N.-backed investigation committee did not take the hypothesis of blaming Israel for the 2005 assassination of ex-PM Rafik Hariri "given that a number of 'Israeli spies' have been arrested? Israel has committed these assassinations to ignite Sunni-Shiite strife in the country and tarnish Hizbullah's image before the Arab community.
"I am against the neutralization of Lebanon. Hizbullah's weapons are one of the elements of steadfastness," Jumblat stressed."
