ISTANBUL, (PIC)-- Hundreds of leftists in Turkey hit the streets on Monday evening at the Taqsim Square in Istanbul to commemorate the second anniversary of the Israeli war on Gaza Strip.

The participants hoisted Palestinian flags and placards calling for boycotting Israeli products and for breaking the siege on Gaza. They chanted anti Israel and anti US slogans.

The famous Brazilian cartoonist Carlos Latuff, who is known for his supportive stand of the Palestine cause, took part in the rally.

He addressed the rally asking Turkish premier Recep Erdogan to sever relations with Israel, and called for boycotting all companies that support Israel such as Star Bucks, McDonalds, Burger King and others.
