OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Former Israeli intelligence chief Ami Ayalon said without security coordination with the Palestinian Authority, major terror operations would have never been thwarted.
"At times, security coordination went from intelligence cooperation to bilateral cooperation in field operations," the ex-Shin Bet chief told Israeli Radio Wednesday.
According to documents based on records of meetings between Palestinians and Israelis, security coordination had reached "advanced" levels. They say the parties cooperated to strike Palestinian national factions.
Meanwhile, Fatah is angered over the recent leak of nearly 2,000 documents exposing PA-Israeli plots to kill resistance fighters.
West Bank religious affairs minister Mahmoud al-Habbash called on Friday preachers to insult the Al-Jazeera TV, who leaked the documents, and the Qatari Emir. Fatah has accused them of sedition and being agents.
